Dvir Cohen Kedar
Born in Israel, 1978. Lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Holds a B.Ed. in Fine Arts (with honors, Midrasha School of Arts, Beit Berl College, 2005) and an MFA (University of Haifa, 2008). Co-founder of Alfred – A Cooperative Institute for Arts and Culture (Tel Aviv).
His work engages with the translation of images across mediums, using distortion and painterly interventions to examine tensions between source and representation.
Exhibited widely in galleries and museums, including Ashdod Museum of Art, Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art, Petach Tikva Museum of Art, Haifa Museum of Art, Mishkan Museum of Art, Ein Harod, and Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf.
Works are held in private collections in Israel, Germany, New York, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Canada.
